What Omegle was
Omegle let you talk one-on-one with a random stranger, by text or video, with no account. It ran for about 14 years and was loved for how easy it was to jump in. It also had real problems with safety and moderation, and it shut down in November 2023. We liked the idea of meeting someone new with one tap. We just wanted to build it more carefully, with rules that are actually enforced.
What's different here
You add up to 5 interests, and we match you with someone who picked the same thing, so you're not starting from zero. If nobody matches after a short wait, you get paired with anyone, and you can turn that off. It's only for people in India, and we check your location. You chat as a made-up name with a cartoon face. Text needs no sign-up, and video needs a quick sign-in with an emailed code.
Safety that's taken seriously
Everyone must be 18 or older and accept the rules before their first chat. There's a Report button in every chat. If someone is reported as under 18, or for sexual content involving a minor, that person is suspended straight away until we review it. Bans apply to both the account and the device. Recording someone without their permission is against the rules, and we don't save chats. Phone numbers, emails, links and handles are hidden automatically, so scammers and spammers have a harder time.

No. It's a separate site with no link to Omegle. It's also 1:1 stranger chat, but it matches you by shared interests and is only for adults in India.
Can I use it outside India?
No. chatrealm.live checks your location and only works for people in India.
