What we do to keep it safe

• Everyone must be 18 or older and accept the rules before their first chat.
• chatrealm.live only works for people in India, and we check your location.
• You chat as a made-up name with a cartoon face, with no profile, photo or bio.
• Chats go straight between the two devices, are encrypted, and aren't saved. We can't see them.
• Phone numbers, emails, links and handles are hidden automatically in chat.
• Every chat has a Report button, and you won't be matched again with someone you reported.
• Reports about a minor or sexual content suspend the person straight away until we review them.
• Video chat needs a sign-in with an emailed code, and bans apply to both the account and the device.

Your safety tips

• Don't share your real name, phone number, address, school or workplace.
• Remember the other person could take a screenshot, so don't show or say anything you wouldn't want shared.
• On video, check what's behind you before you start.
• Never send money or share codes, passwords or bank details, no matter what story you're told.
• Don't move the chat to another app just because someone asks.
• If something feels off, trust that feeling and tap Next.
• If someone breaks the rules, report them. It helps keep everyone safe.

If something goes wrong

Tap Report in the chat. This sends us the recent messages and, for video, one picture from the chat so we can check what happened. Then tap Next to move on, and you won't be matched with that person again. You can also just close the tab and leave at any time. We review every report and ban people who break the rules. If a report is about a minor or sexual content, the person is suspended straight away until we review it. For anything else, write to [email protected]. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.

For parents and guardians

chatrealm.live is for adults only. Everyone must confirm they're 18 or older before their first chat. If you think a minor is using the site, or a child has been harmed or targeted here, email [email protected] with as much detail as you can, like the date, time and what happened. Anyone reported in a chat as a minor is suspended straight away until we review it. Anything sexual involving someone under 18 is reported to the police.

If you or someone else is in danger right now, call 112, India's emergency number.

To report online fraud or cyber crime, call 1930 or file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in.

For women who need help, call the Women Helpline on 181.

For a child in need of care or protection, call the Child Helpline on 1098.
